I Love You Moost of All

Please let me introduce you to Millard - The Moose on the Loose.  Millard is part of a new set of digi stamps designed by our daughter-in-law, Amy of LoveBeingWright Designs.  The set comes with 2 Millard images (one full body and one head shot) and 6 sentiments.  Amy's inspiration in drawing Millard was a moose our son gave her a couple Christmases ago.

I used a sketch by Mojo Monday (MOJO268) for my card design.  I embossed the main circle and inked it using a direct-to-paper technique.  The perimeter of the background panel and the two accent circles were paper pierced and faux stitches were drawn with a marker.

I colored Millard with copics and fussy cut him.  He was then popped up over the embossed panel.  The sentiment was anchored with a button from my stash that had been threaded with a bit of baker's twine.  I'm planning to drop this card off at my hubby's work to let him know I'm thinking of him during the day.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Recollections, The Paper Studio, Copic
Patterned Paper:  MME (All boy)
Stamp:  LoveBeingWright Designs (Millard-the Moose on the Loose digi set)
Ink:  Memento (Toffee Crunch), Copics (E04, 25, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37)
Embellishments/Tools:  baker's twine (The Twinery-cappuccino), button from my stash, Spellbinders Standard Circles (Large & Small), Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (Distressed Stripes), Sharpie Fine Point Marker (brown)

Happy Spring - SNSDC92

This week the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog gets to showcase the February Digi Stamp release.  There are 4 cute bunnies, a Spring Sentiment set and a Spring Add-on set being released this month.  Be sure to stop by the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog to see all the adorable images and to check out what the rest of the DT (including our 5 new DT members) have done with the new images.  Be sure to read to the end of this post to see how you could win the entire release.

This week's challenge is a 3-2-1 challenge.  The challenge is to use 3 of something, 2 of something and 1 of something.  I used 3 butterflies, 2 patterned papers (the sentiment and the background) and one bunny.

I got to play with 3 of the sets.....

 Bunny 2

 Spring Sentiments

 Spring Add-Ons

I chose to use this week's sketch from Mojo Monday (MOJO280) as my jumping off point for the card design.  I layered my patterned paper with  a strip of Bazzill embossed cardstock  and then cut it all out with one of the Spellbinders Grand Circle dies (3rd from the smallest).  There were so many layers I had to give a little help with my scissors to complete the circle.  I then adhered this to a plain white circle card base.  Some pearls and faux stitching finish off the background.

I coolored all the images with Copics.  I inked the edges and fussy cut the butterflies.  A glaze pen was used on the bunny's nose & eye and stickles give his tail some dimension . A glitter pen gives the butterfly wings, bodies and  the flower some sparkle. The image is printed on patterned paper and hand-cut.  The butterflies are all popped up with pop dots.  The sentiment and flower each have a pearl accent.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Bazzill, Recollections, Copic, Georgia Pacific
Patterned paper:  Prima (Madeline)
Stamps:  Sweet 'n Sassy Digis (Bunny 2, Spring Add-Ons, Spring Sentiment)

Embellishments/Tools:  pearls (The Paper Studio), Sakura Gelly Roll pen (Clear Star), Sakura Glaze pen, Spellbinders (Grand Circles, Deckled Rectangles Large & Small), Sharpie Fine Point Pen (brown), Stickles (Frosted Lace)

Tulip Happy Birthday -- SNSDC91

I hope you've had a good week.  It's time for another challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog.  This week it's a color challenge.  We want to see pink & black.

I decided to use the Tulips Digital Stamp for my focal image.  I colored it with my copics.  After I die cut it, I sponged it with Angel Pink Memento ink. I added some black stickles to the stamens and a little glitter pen to accent the flower.  I used one of the Feminine Birthday Greetings for the sentiment and sponged it with the pink ink and matted it with a fancy tag.  A few pearls complete the card.  The pearls are probably from one of the first sets of pearls I ever bought. I can't believe they've lasted this long.  The background paper has also been in my stash for well over 5 years.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Recollections (black), Copic, Georgia Pacific (card base)
Patterned Paper:  Creative Imaginations (Narratives)
Stamps:  Sweet 'n Sassy Digis (Tulips Digital Stamp, Feminine Birthday Greetings)
Ink:  Copics (R81, 83, 85, YG03, 05), Memento (Angel Pink)
Embellishments/Tools:   Spellbinders (Fancy Tags 3, Classic Ovals Large & Small), pearls (Oriental Trading), Stickles (Black Diamond), Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Pen (Clear)

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday #66 - Anything Goes
Clearly Inspired Challenge #68 - Let's Get Inky (use some inking technique - I chose sponging)
Spark Your Creativity Now #6 - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you'll stop back by soon.

Chugging by... -- SNSDC90

This week, the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge is quite easy.  We're to make a Valentine's Day or Love card/project.  Easy Peasy!!  We have a sweet little 3 year old boy in our lives (our grandson) who loves trains.  So I thought this Cocoa's Train digi would be perfect for him.

I used an older Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS160) for the design of the card front.  My husband had the idea to use some type of 3D hearts as smoke billows so when I found these open buttons I thought they would fill the bill.  I adhered them with SU's Crystal Effects.  I also put some Crystal Effects on Cocoa's nose.  I generated the sentiment on my computer and cut it out in a banner shape.  I used a square punch to give me the points on the end.

I paper pieced Cocoa's train using two different patterned papers from a collection I've had in my stash for quite awhile.  I bought this paper pack with Jack, our grandson, in mind.  Actually, except for the cow catcher, it's just both sides of the same sheet of paper.  I used buttons from my stash for the wheels.  Cocoa is colored with Copics and his head and paw are popped up over the train.

If you're a regular reader, you know I *love* fancy folds.  When I saw this pop-up card on Darlene's blog during a recent surfing trip, I couldn't wait to give it a try.  Darlene show's two versions, a simple pop up and this more advanced one.  Her directions are easy to follow and the "advanced" version was still pretty easy to do.

For the 3 hearts on the left side, I printed out a Cocoa's Heart the size I wanted them to be and hand cut a template.  I then printed out 2 sentiments from the Valentine's Day Greeting set and generated my own sentiment for the center heart in Word.  I used the template to trace around the sentiments and hand cut them.  I taped them to red cardstock and then cut the mats.  I used another greeting from the set for the "Happy Valentine's Day" and popped it up on the background. Cocoa's Heart is on the 4th pop-up.  Strips from the patterned paper carry the train theme through to the inside of the card.  I left a small spot to write a short greeting from Papaw & I.

Cardstock:  Bazzill, Recollections, Georgia Pacific, Copic
Patterned Paper:  Echo Park (Little Boy)
